The 11th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry with support from the Fort Caspar Museum Association and the Research Arsenal, invites you to an evening of history, remembrance, and purpose. Renowned historian Jim Hessler, an award-winning author and Licensed Battlefield Guide at Gettysburg National Military Park, will present on The 6th Michigan Cavalry: From Gettysburg to the Western Frontier.


This dinner event aims to raise funds for marble headstones to properly commemorate these soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice far away from home after having survived the Civil War, only to die in Indian Territory.

      This sponsorship level includes a private tour of the Fort Caspar Grounds one hour before the dinner meeting begins. Giving you access inside the fort buildings alongside local experts who will talk about the specific interactions that the 6th Michigan Cavalry had at Platte Bridge Station in the summer and fall of 1865.
